Morals?

Let’s start off with the First Ten to learn…. these should be the cornerstone to your daily life.

The Ten Commandments:

Exodus 20:1-17  – NIV Version:
And God spoke all these words:

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

3 “You shall have no other gods before[a] me. (Number 1)

4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. (Number 2)

7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name. (Number 3)

8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (Number 4)

12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. (Number 5)

13 “You shall not murder. (Number 6)

14 “You shall not commit adultery. (Number 7)

15 “You shall not steal. (Number 8)

16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. (Number 9)

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” (Number 10)

Here are  some Bible verses that help those that are unsure about the reason for being “In the line of fire” and “Never being appreciated”…..

-Matthew 5:9

No weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord.
-Isaiah 54:17

For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer.
Romans 13:4

Greater love has no man than this, that he who lays down his life for his friends.
John 15:13

If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
John 15:18

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Psalms 82:3-4

Do not envy the wicked, do not desire their company. for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble.
Proverbs 24:1-2

Do not fret because of evildoers or be envious of the wicked, for the evildoer has no future hope, and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.
Proverbs 24:19-20

13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. 6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
Romans 13:1-7
